WHY THIS RETREAT & WHY NOW?

You’re doing a lot. Maybe too much. And beneath it all, you sense that what you truly need isn’t more input — but space. Space to breathe, to feel, to listen inwardly. A quieter rhythm. A different kind of nourishment.

This retreat offers you that space. A pause. A reset. A few days to step out of the noise of everyday life and into the deep stillness that can only be felt when we stop running and start connecting inwards.

Here, yoga isn’t just movement. It’s a way home to yourself.
And as the seasons turn and the year draws to a close, it’s the perfect time to return to what matters.

A PLACE TO TRULY RETREAT

Set amidst the peaceful countryside of Norfolk, Potash Barns is the ideal setting to drop into stillness. Surrounded by open fields and nature’s quiet presence, it’s a place to rest and retreat — with a cozy yoga shala that looks out over the land and a wood-burning fire to gather by each night.

This is a space where you can let go of obligations, distractions, and decision fatigue. Everything is taken care of — you just need to arrive.

PRACTICES TO COME HOME TO YOURSELF

The Winter Reset retreat is grounded in the teachings of T. Krishnamacharya — a lineage that honours the individual and integrates all limbs of yoga. Our sessions together are slow, intentional, breath-led, and designed to restore your energy, rather than deplete it.

Each day includes:

-
Two 2-hour practices (asana, pranayama, meditation, chanting)
-
Philosophy talks and guided group reflection
-
Journalling for inner clarity
-
Deep relaxation and rest
-
Time in nature and shared silence

You’ll also receive gentle sound healing and Yin Yoga from our guest teacher Sally Talal.

These practices are suitable for all levels. What matters most is your willingness to show up as you are.

SIMPLE COMFORT, NOURISHING FOOD
You’ll stay in cozy shared rooms (two people per room & one triple) with bathrooms shared between every two rooms. The space is clean, warm, and welcoming — a quiet container for rest and reflection.

Meals are vegetarian/vegan and lovingly prepared to support your practice and your body. Herbal teas and light snacks are available throughout the day. Dietary requirements can be catered for with notice.

THE HEALING POWER OF SILENCE
Silence begins after our evening session on the first day and continues until late morning on the final day. This quiet isn’t isolating — it’s deeply supportive. You’ll be in the company of others who are also choosing to turn inward.

In shared sessions, particularly during journalling and group reflection, you’ll be free to speak and share your experiences. The rest of the time, you’ll have a rare chance to move gently through your day — not needing to perform, explain, or fill the space.

Past participants often describe this aspect of the retreat as the most profound.
