A SUMMER YOGA RETREAT

MON 5TH TO THURS 8TH AUGUST 2024
Join us for 4 days and 3 nights of inward journeying and connection to our true nature!
This retreat has been curated to provide the best environment and opportunity to reach a deep connection to your practice. A time for inner attention, rejuvenation, healing and stillness.
Our Location

Situated two and a half hours from London in the beautiful Norfolk countryside, West Lexham Retreat Centre is a rural delight that will be our host. Surrounded by trees, meadows, lakes and natural beauty it is the perfect place for us to focus on our practice and to feel the support of the elements around us.

We shall meet at King’s Cross on the first day of the retreat and travel together by train to our destination. Similarly, on the final day, we shall all return to the same spot in London, even though we may feel different to the last time we were there.
Our practices will take place either outside (weather permitting) or in the yoga space at our location. You will be able to spend time in the beautiful grounds, feel the grass beneath your feet and even take a dip in the lake.

Participants will also have opportunities to rest, relax, roam the beautiful grounds, take a dip in the outdoor heated pool, or enjoy a lakeside swim. Weather permitting, there will be a firepit in the evening for a calming end to the day.
Our Practice
Daryn will be leading the retreat and will be supported by Preetha Narayanan during the middle days of our gathering (https://www.preethanarayanan.com/yoga). Both have studied in the tradition of Krishnamacharya and met whilst training in Chennai. Aside from her long term yoga practice, Preetha is a classically trained musician in both western and eastern traditions and will bring her music and chanting in to our practices.
During the retreat our schedule will broadly consist of the following:
2 extended asana, pranayama and meditation practices per day in the morning and evening
Talks covering key philosophical aspects of yoga that we can use practically in our lives
Chanting sessions
Meditation
Journalling
Group discussions and sharing
Time in nature
Period of observed silence - from Monday at start of evening practice to Thursday after our morning sessions
Meal times and coffee/tea breaks
Accommodation & Food

We shall be staying in beautifully appointed rooms with the following options:

-
Single occupancy private rooms (super king sized bed) with en-suite bathrooms
-
